KING KONG ON TOUR!
                         April and May 2007

KING KONG HITS THE ROAD!

Loading up the gear.

                April 21, 2007 Louisville, KY

We finally arrived home  to Thunder Over Louisville.

At the Quanset Hut, where we played, there were puppets.

There were insects.

Now that  the tour is over, I can get back to writing songs again.

April, 20 Knoxville, TN

We had a wonderful time performing at the Pilot Light.

Jason cooked us some Minestrone soup and I ate like a fiend.

Someone had enough balls to place a band sticker inside the toilet bowl. When I saw that, I was like "eeeeeeee."

April 19, 2007 Raleigh, NC

Grappling Hook played first.

Afterwards, we checked out Nick, the soundman's studio.

Then Nick took us to a bar for a nightcap and we talked about sound stuff.

We stayed the night at Nick's house.

I slept on a Coleman air matress that slowly deflated throughout the night.

Next stop: Knoxville, TN

April 18, 2007 Philadelphia, PA

Phildelphia was a good place to my to check my My Space.

Pete looking satisfied after that Philly Cheese Steak.

We made some friends at the  show. One of them came all the way from Delaware just to experience the Kong.

April 17, 2007 Boston, MA
Boston was kind of cold and rainy.I worked on the blog and I checked emails before the performance. The house sound was high quality last night. We appreciate that.

Here  is a shot of the opening band. I forgot their name. The bass player was kind of interesting looking though. Aferwards, we checked into an Motel 6  in Framingham and got some sleep.

April 16, 2009 New York, NY/Brooklyn
At Union Hall, which is Louisville connected, had Bacci right in the middle of the  joint.
Less the Band played first.
Their drummer, Ray Rizzo used to drum for the Kong.
Mike flips the bird at some stuck up girl.
TKWebb was up next. We crashed that night with the guitarist.

We played and had a superb time. Our crowd was truly fun last night; lots of Kentuckians
.

After the show, Willie and I had a night cap at a lonely pub somewhere deep in the bowells  of Brooklyn.

April 15, 2007 Washington, DC
We played at the Rock and Roll Hotel and it was a great place. The sound was good and it was clean.
But there were all these signs.

I just notice little things like that.

Man Man played.

This morning I accidently brushed my teeth with Bryl-Creem.
I thought it was organic toothpaste. I couldn't help but to wonder if that didn't have something to do with that black cat in Morgantown.

April 14, 2007 Baltimore, MD

We arrived at the warehouse apartment at about seven p.m.

We soundchecked.

Birthday Cowboys.

Eric and Park from the home town.

Friday April 13, 2007 Morgantown, WV

We had some extra time so we decided to take a ride on this ridiculous little train.

It went from downtown to the WVU campus. A black cat ran accross the track in front of our train! We also spotted a beaver.

"It's Birds" played, then we played at 123 Pleasant St., and hung out with some big time freaks.

 April 12, 2007  Cleveland, OH
We played the Parish Hall in Cleveland OH. It was a kind of artist commune/music venue/home/studio kind of place. We played  to nobody  except the sound man and the two guys who live there and the other band. I still danced like a rabid gorilla during the "Funky Monkey" breakdown.

Next door to Parish Hall was the dogman's house. He was a bit odd.

Our new friends in Cincinnati.

April 11, 2007      Lansing, MI

Willy selling T's. Lansing was fun; binge drinking students and libidinous lesbians.
